Radio Tairua 88.3FM is fortunate to have an ever increasing number of volunteer DJ's working on the station, giving up their personal time each week to research, plan and present music shows... all for the benefit and enjoyment of Radio Tairua's loyal listeners in Tairua and Pauanui.  Radio Tairua also has a number of well established scheduled shows each week.

Monday @ 9pm "Church" with Mr T / T-Rev

The infamous Mr T / T-Rev in the bunker, spinning some of the best alternative tunes from punk to hard rock and everything in between.  Sharing his extensive musical knowledge and anecdotes from his worldly travels - he has seen some of the greatest artists in concert, in some fantastic places.

Tuesday @ 9pm with The Captain - SHOW ON HOLD, HOST TAKING WINTER HIATUS

Captain Nadz (that is)... Sharing his own brand of musical randomness on the Radio (Radio Tairua of course).  Two year's in the making and well worth the wait!

Wednesday @ 8pm til late "Gutterpunx Radio Live" with C.O.

Local punk musician and aficianado of good sounds, Cam (C.O.) cranks out the tunes, shares his knowledge and sometimes leaves the mic on in the studio when he's singing... for the hardcore!

Thursday Request Day @ 7am (ish) til 2pm

THE PEOPLE'S DAY - where Radio Tairua's listeners choose the tracks.  Send requests in via text or through the Thursday Request Day page on this website.  Strongly supported by loyal listeners in Tairua & Pauanui.  A fantasic find for visitors or out of towners working in the area.  A magical mix of musical mania for the masses, requested by the masses.

Thursday @ 2pm - Radio Tairua Top 20 Countdown

Following on immediately from Thursday Request Day show, countdown of the Top 20 tracks, taken from Radio Tairua's TOP 100 from the previous week.

Friday @ 3pm

Guitars & general mayhem to get you through the last few hours of your working day & launch you into the weekend.  Sensitive souls be warned - this show can be very loud!

Friday @ 5pm - Golddiggers Liquid Rock 

Golddiggers Tairua are proud to be supporting Radio Tairua by sponsoring this 3 hour show Liquid Rock - its an extended drive time without the congested motorways & manic motorists.  A selection of rocking good tunes to set you, your friends and family up for the weekend!

Friday @ 8pm - Album Of The Week

Showcasing the latest NZ Music & International CD releases gratefully received and purchased by Radio Tairua.  NZ artists in this time slot also appear on the "Featured NZ Page" of this website. 

Friday from 9pm - Late Night Dance Sessions

This shows goes the distance, late into the night and early hours of the next morning.  Gradually building up from Golddiggers Liquid Rock with a nice mix of beats & chilled out dance before launching into cranking beats for the hardcore party people.

Catch DJ Chris Todd (UK) with his REJECT MUSICAL TRASH show, produced exclusively for Radio Tairua.  Keeping it current, bringing you the latest beats out of the UK & Europe.  RMT website under construction... we'll keep you posted. 

Saturday @ 9.30am - Baby Faced Assassin's Recovery Fix

Your Saturday morning wake up call with the Baby Faced Assassin.  An ever changing mix of tunes to help you ease into the day ahead or to chill you out and bring you down from the night before.

Saturday @ 7pm - NEW SHOW hosted by Ben Miller

Introducing the newest addition to the Radio Tairua team of volunteer DJ's - Ben Miller.  A student @ Rangitoto College studying broadcasting, gaining work experience @ The Edge in Auckland where he co-hosts an evening show.  When he returns home for the weekend Ben is taking the controls for two hours @ Radio Tairua.  Bringing you a mix of the latest tunes tastefully blended with his favourite genres including dubstep.

Saturday @ 9.00pm - Global Dance Session (UK)

Hosted each week by the UK's Brian "Cheets" Cheetham with an impressive line up of guest DJ's - Global Dance Sessions bring you two hours of banging dance tunes from around the world.

Sunday from 10am - NZ Music Beat with Rhys Tau

Premiere show @ the start of New Zealand Music Month the NZ Music Beat hosted by Rhys Tau features the latest releases from artists featured on the most recent NZ ON AIR KIWI HIT DISC.  A different track/artist is played every hour from 10am.

Sunday @ 12noon with Planet Claire (Fortnightly)

Planet Claire with her one hour segment... who knows what she'll be playing, you just know it will be good! Although Claire has returned to Auckland, she is making the commute every fortnight to continue hosting her show for Radio Tairua's loyal listeners.
